Lighting effects in post production
I have just started using more complex post-processing as part of an on-line course in B&W photo artistry. Looking back through some old images it is great fun to be able to give them a new lease of life. This photo, for example, was taken of a friend when we were visiting the Supreme Court in Washington. The original has an interesting juxtaposition of my friend with the bust in an alcove but really lacked any drama. By adding in some light beams and increasing the light on his face and the bust I think I was able to make a much more interesting image.
